Visit to Pai...

We drove to Pai, Thailand and enjoyed seeing some of that area. It is not far from Chiang Mai but the road is constant switch backs as you wind up and down the mountain area so of course takes several hours to drive. We stayed a couple days and enjoyed the Pai area and also the Huai Nam Dang National Park sites that were nearby.

These beautiful trees were blooming along the road at several places and you can hardly believe how bright orange/red they are. We have them here in Chiang Mai too but out on the mountain side they really stand out. God's amazing creation!

Pong Duead Geyser which is in the Huai Nam Dang National Park.
It was about a quarter of a mile hike in to the geyser and the trail had lots of interesting trees and vines and little streams. It was hot and I forgot my water bottle but I did survive!

This vine was amazing...it is hard to see in the picture but the vine stretches quite a ways.

I climbed up this vine and thought about how our grandkids would have enjoyed climbing around on all these too.

Sites near Pai as we drove around.....

Lots of water buffalo in this area.

Sunset near our resort area.

Tree House Resort...I climbed up to take a look but decided we would rather have a room closer to the ground:)

Viewing area in the Huai Nam Dang National Park...the clouds were hangin low so we did not get a very clear picture...the mountains extend out for a long way and the view is very beautiful.
