A delightful treat...

Larry stopped by the grocery store for me the other day and what a special surprise he brought home. These raspberries were so good.

What a delightful treat. I savored each bite. I can remember having so many raspberries in my garden that they lasted us almost the entire year when I packaged and froze them. Now we get a pint of them and have to pay a lot...but it is so worth it once in awhile:)

Singapore a "Fine" city

The reminders we see on the bus and trains of what a "fine" city Singapore is!

My favorite is the no durian...and unless you have experienced the "wonderful aroma" of this fruit you probably have no idea why it is prohibited on the buses and trains.

Happy Chinese New Year!

This afternoon we took a stroll through China Town to see some of the activity as many prepare for this festive weekend. It is always interesting to see the amazing decorations.

This is the "year of the tiger" and I thought this was rather colorful.
There goes Larry...

These men were really concentrating on their next move....

Chinese New Year Blessings to you and your family.

Flowering Tea

Today I enjoyed a cup of tea and thought you would enjoy the beauty of it too...

The tea leaves are hand sewn with cotton thread into bundles by artisans throughout China.

When steeped in hot water, these "leaves of art" slowly blossom into beautiful flower shapes...

This picture you can see how the thread is tied around the leaves to shape the flower design.

Thanks Jennifer for sharing these with me. I have really enjoyed sipping the delicious flavor of the tea as well as watching them bloom.
