A helpful hand...

Today we were given a helpful hand by several workers to weed trim and mow our grass. They did a great job and it was finished in a couple of hours. We still have to look into finding a small mower and weed trimmer and since the yard needed attention, we hired this group of workers. We had fun trying to communicate with them. The small booklet you sent us Jennifer helped :) a little. I was trying to ask if some plants in one area were weeds and if they should be pulled...later we found out they were not weeds but since I was asking about pulling them out they decided I must have wanted them out. Oh well, some will grow back I am sure.

There is actually a gal in the bushes pulling weeds...all you see is her hat:)

That is it for our yard work today...I didn't have to do much this time but there is always another day.

Visa journey

We are still working on acquiring a visa that will enable us to stay long term here. These pictures were taken while in Singapore last week and our adventure at the Thai Embassy. The Lord is opening the way for us and we are waiting on His perfect timing for this process to be completed now in Chiang Mai. Please pray with us for good results this week.

These cute little fellows greet you at the entrance......

The Rose Apple Tree...

The week we moved to Chiang Mai this is what our Rose Apple tree looked like .......................

                               ...................................................

The blossoms were so beautiful and the bees were very busy every day for several weeks.........

I was amazed at how quickly the apples formed and were ready to eat.

This is one of the first apples we picked and it was delicious................................

My friend Ann is enjoying an apple.

This is what the inside looks like. These are really good and actually taste like a rose.

Interesting tile designs

We have some interesting tile designs in some of the bathrooms...this first one is my favorite one.

I didn't put the ones from kitchen and the laundry area...quite funny actually. Maybe another day:)

Yard stuff...

Larry took a short walk to a fruit market and bought us some bananas today...here he is leaving ...this is looking out our bedroom window upstairs.

When he returned home with the fruit I took this picture and then noticed something else that was in the picture with him....do you see anything else??????

??????

?????????????

???????????????????????????????????????

What did you find???

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Proverbs 30:28 speaks of them...."a lizard can be caught with the hand, yet it is found in kings' palaces."

Well, our home is not a kings' palace but they do make themselves at home here too!

They move quickly so are a bit blurred.....yes lizards or as I call them geckos.

This is the view I see when looking out my living room window.

This is a healthy mulberry bush with lots of berries...unfortunately most of the other bushes are infested with a nasty bug of sorts...I hope we can find someone to spray them before it spreads anymore.

Larry cleaning in the yard...leaves collect in these drains so we have to sweep them out frequently.

Special time with guests today!

It was fun hanging out with a couple of gals from Singapore today. They are here for a workshop this week and spent last night at our house. We took a ride downtown and they treated me to a nice lunch at The Kitchen. It was a special day and I enjoyed the time with them. The picture is just as we returned home this afternoon.

We tried to find some mullberries to eat from our yard (the birds really like them too). This is a small handful I picked. They are so good.

Shopping trip...

This past week we have made several trips to the nearest shopping mall to buy bedding and bathroom items to furnish our guest rooms. These are not the greatest pictures and we both look rather serious. This was not the greatest shopping time for either of us and we were both lacking in interest...I guess we needed our girls along to shop for us:)

This is the ride home...with our taxi filled up with shopping bags. Another day of "fun" over at last.

Today I finished cleaning the bedrooms and bathrooms and the rooms are ready for our guests that will be coming throughout the rest of this month. It is always a special time to be able to open our home to others.

Beautiful blossoms...

We have a Rose Apple tree in our yard and it is blooming so beautiful. The blossoms last a few days and then the fruit begins to form. It will be fun to see how I can be creative in using some of the rose apples.

This is what the rose apple looks like ...this one is not ripe yet.
