What do you see?
What do you see while you are washing dishes? Sometimes I remember other places I have lived and I recall looking out my window. Maybe watching little ones playing in the yard ...or maybe looking at some flowers growing in a planter...or maybe rejoicing at the beautiful colors God put in a sunset...maybe seeing the white peaks of the mountains after a snowstorm. My list could get really long...
Right now the window above my kitchen sink doesn't have a very pleasant view (just my laundry room) so I recently arranged a group of pictures so ...
Today as I did my dishes I looked at pictures of our family and thanked the Lord for blessing me so abundantly.

Friends!!!
This past week has been rather busy for us. We had the privilege of hosting several of our friends from South East Asia in our apartment. We also were involved in the TWR Asia partners conference held in Singapore. This gave us opportunity to spend some time with many of our friends from Asia and other areas around the world. God is doing amazing things and we continue to praise Him for the opportunities He has given us to be a part of this ministry that reaches many through mass media. You can check out our web site at http://www.twr.asia

I didn't get a photo of you girls this week so I used one taken on a different trip. It is fun to have guests stay with us and we hope you enjoyed your stay in Singapore. Come see us again soon.

tiny but beautiful
They do not labor or spin.
Yet I tell you that not even Solomon
in all his spendor
was dressed like one of these."
Matthew 6:28b-29
I have a small orchid plant on my small deck area in a little pot not out in the fields but it still reminds me of this verse. It received very little care for several months and yet when I returned home it was blooming so beautifully for me. It had several branches so I picked one of them and put it in a very small vase I have.

Home Again!!!
I did arrive safely home in Singapore early Thursday morning after a long flight. I had an unusual thing happen when our flight landed in Tokyo. We were all asked to stay seated as there would be a team of quarantine experts coming on the plane and taking each passengers temperature before we could get off the plane. We also were required to fill out a form stating we were not sick and had not been around anyone that was sick. The government was taking strong precautions to not let the swine influenza enter their country. Needless to say--there was a young lady on our flight that evidently had a temperature because all those around her were required to stay on the plane for further questioning etc. Thankfully I was not too close to her and was allowed to exit the plane. This took well over an hour so I was very grateful to get off and get some walking in and stretch my legs after sitting for nearly 10 hours. I did take a few pictures so you can get the idea of what it looked like on the plane :)
The entry to Singapore was not so eventful. They just checked everyone as you left the plane.
I was very happy to see Larry waiting at the baggage claim area. It was about 3:00am when we arrived at our apartment.
It was a very special time to be with our kids and grandkids.
Now I have to adjust to a tropical climate again and a rather quiet apartment.
Hugs to Ellie, Owen, Kadence and Cash!!! I sure love you lots!!!! :)
