Ministry outreach to northeast...special times!

Our trip to the northeast part of Thailand along the Laos border was filled with lots of special moments. I have included pictures from some of the things we were involved in this week.

During the week we visited three different prisons and shared the gospel, games, dancing and gifts with the prisoners. At the first prison many of the women prisoners are Christians and it is a special time to be together with them. Our team has come to this prison many times to share and minister to them. We also left Biblical literature to be given to the men's section of the prison.

These beautiful water lilies were at the entrance of our next prison we went to.

This is a group of Christian prisoners that came up and sang for us and
also prayed for our team. There is a missionary lady that comes each month to study the Bible with these ladies and encourage them. This was our first visit to this prison.

Each prisoner was given a packet with Biblical literature and
a bar of soap as a gift.

Part of our team went to share with a group of men prisoners in this same prison facility.

One more prison visit.....this prison I was not allowed to take my camera in but the security guards took pictures and then gave us a copy. We met in the prison chapel that was built inside the prison several years ago and is very nice.

The chaplain for the prison wanted us to be in this picture. The chaplain has a wonderful ministry with the prisoners as he also was in this prison many years ago. God is working in hearts that they might find real freedom from sin through His Son Jesus Christ.

In Thailand there is the wonderful opportunity of being able to visit schools and share the "good news of Jesus". In each of these village schools the children were given a packet with Biblical literature and booklets. The team did a great job of sharing the truth through the message and in music. I taught some English words to the students in a couple of the schools.

Sharing Bibles at several Buddhist temples was also a blessing we enjoyed being a part of. Many of the monks speak English and have fun visiting with us and of course like being in a photograph together.

We started off with a truck load of Bibles that our team had picked up from the Bible Society.

We left enough Bibles for each monk in the temples we went to.

This monk was very sick and the men went up to pray for him.

The last day of our week we held a TWR listener rally where about 82 listeners from Laos came across the border for the meeting. I enjoyed meeting up again with some of our listeners we had met while visiting in Laos. We also had several listeners from Thailand join in with us too.

Listeners waiting for the rally to begin.

We were able to have the rally in a beautiful church in Nong Khai.
