Victoria Park...

On 4 June 2009 we went to Victoria Park in Hong Kong where many came to commemorate those killed in the 1989 Tiananmen Square crackdown in Beijing. The crowds were estimated at 150,000 holding candles and another 50,000 outside the gates. We were outside the gates but it was still amazing to see that many people gathered in one area.

This is the crowd after we got off the train...it was very crowded to say the least. It took us more than 20 minutes to walk about one block.

The people attending filled up the area of six soccer fields.

This is blurred but shows a large section of those holding candles.
